Claude is particularly good when the work requires thinking.
It is strongest when you give it context, documents, constraints and a difficult problem rather than a short one-line request.
In our testing, Claude reads carefully, follows detailed instructions and writes in a measured, natural register. It is less eager to please than some alternatives, which makes it a better thinking partner: it will tell you when an argument is weak. It rewards effort. A thin prompt gets a competent answer; a well-briefed one often gets the best answer of any assistant we use.
The overall Guide Rating reflects these six scores, rounded to one decimal place.
